knitted noose

about halfway through my book now, which i hope to finish tonight so i can start on the next. I realize that summer is when i do most of my reading and so far the only thing's i have read are Junie B Jones and the Magic Treehouse books. I insisted that we buy where the sidewalk ends, and that was succesful in being the best book i've been able to read up until now. So i'm thanking God every second for the little used book store in tacoma that i pulled mrs. hwang into where i found a shelf full of obscure vonnegut books to enlighten my perverted conciousness. in other news... my car is in the shop because everything these kids touch is immediately destroyed. One of my car doors no longer opens, my vanity mirror is now cracked, i don't know how many cars my doors have dented cause they have zero spacial judgement and EVERY time they open the car door they smash it into the car parked next to us. We are almost out of dishes because they break every glass they touch. I don't think there are any more working blinds left in our house. The kitchen table that was once a nice wooden finish is now scarred beyond repair. the carpets should be replaced if they ever want to rent this place out again. The screen door no longer has screen. i have my doubts whether the dish washer will ever work again. The garbage disposal has cherry seeds and plastic wrappers wedged in it permanantly. what else??? ahh, two of our sliding closet doors have been broken off of their hinges... no wait, make that three. Our peanut butter is in the fridge????????? don't ask. I've told them three thousand times that peanut butter does not need to be stored in the fridge, but every time i open the fridge, lo and behold, there is the peanut butter. The eggs and milk on the other hand, are ALWAYS left out on the table from breakfast time (about 6:30 in the morning) until lunch time (about 1:00 pm) . anchovies have been ground into the carpet around the dinner table... (once again, don't ask)... and i'm quickly coming to the conclusion that i don't want to EVER have children, which is something i've decided probably wouldn't be possible for me anyway (no clinical proof, i just have a hunch, that and my back could surely not handle it), and i'm rapidly becoming extremely okay with that. Which is a good thing since i've almost surely decided that i am fated to never get married. Which i am also becoming more and more okay with. Our devorce rates are so ludicrice that i don't recommend that ANYBODY gets married now-a-days. and apparently i can't even find somebody to date so that really isn't an issue for me anyway. At least i don't have to worry about breaking anyone's heart. However, i feel that i may have a long future of breaking hearts since i don't think i will ever fully trust any man for as long as i live, and therefore will immediately break up with them as soon as they tell me they love me, because innevitably that is or will someday turn into a lie. So in my pessimistic state today i have decided to share my feelings with my millions of eager readers (sarcasm) and ruin all of their outlooks on life too. I'm pretty sure that alfie will be the most constant man in my life and we will grow old together... a couple of bitter, lonely old spinsters talking shit about all the happy old couples we know. I think we'll take up knitting.
